Tale as Old as Time is an 18+ bang dedicated to depicting Gojo & Geto within people's favorite fairytales! However, we aren't just limited to fairytales. You can choose to create a piece around a favorite myth, folktale, fable, a modern retelling of any of the above, or anything else so long as it fits within a fantasy genre.

What is a Big Bang?Traditionally, a Big Bang is a type of Fandom event where artists and writers collaborate on a large-scale project together. Writers are required to write a longfic (traditionally 50k, but word count minimums are to be determined based on our Interest Check results) within a set time-frame. Artists will then choose a piece to work with and collaborate with the author to come up with (traditionally 2, but this is also subject to change based on our Interest Check) pieces of art. There is then a scheduled ‘Posting time frame’ where all the works are posted!♡Is this the same thing as a zine?Not quite! Zines and Big Bangs have a different history. Feel free to read up on the history of a Big Bang on Fanlore, or the history of Zines on Fanlore. Zines typically have a small team where writers and artists independently create works for a project based on the Zine’s theme. Zines often sell their products, either as digital or physical merch, and can be either for-profit, for-charity, or for-production. No money is involved in a Big Bang, and the size of the project will be directly related to how many people sign-up!♡Who is allowed to participate? Am I required to submit an application?No applications are required! We will have a sign-up period, and anyone is allowed to sign-up during that time. The project will be GoGe (top!Gojo, bottom!Geto), so keep that in mind while signing up. All participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of sign-ups since we will have NSFW content.♡I’m a switch-shipper. Can I still participate?This project will be GoGe (top!Gojo, bottom!Geto), but is not required to be NSFW. If you are interested in creating a gen or sfw ship piece where top/bottom dynamics are not discussed, please feel free to join us! If you are a gego shipper interested in creating goge as a change of pace, feel free to join us! We ask that all participants remain civil regarding top/bottom dynamics, so if you can do that, please join us!♡What am I expected to create if I sign-up?You can check our Requirements Section for more information!♡Are we required to cite a specific fairytale/fable/myth/folklore as our inspiration or would something not based on any specific story but has fairytale or myth-like vibes be allowed?Anything with fairytale "vibes" is welcome to be used as a source of inspiration for your piece!♡How will you approach tagging in fics?All our mods are in unanimous agreement that the author or artist is the one with final, complete control over how their work is tagged. For writers specifically, we'll create an AO3 collection for the event with "GoGe" in the title, so it should be abundantly clear that this is a fixed dynamic event (top Gojo x bottom Geto) for any NSFW works found in the collection.♡Would it be possible to co-author a work?Absolutely! If you'd like to co-author a fic with another writer, you're very welcome to sign up together and pitch as a team.♡How much of an idea/outline are we expected to have in order to pitch?We leave that up to your discretion as the writer, but we will share pitch guidelines for participants at the end of the sign up period to ensure that anonymous pitches more or less follow the same format for artists when it comes to claiming!♡Are there restrictions that would prevent someone from signing up?No, Big Bangs are not selective in the way zines are. All writers and artists who sign up can create a work for the project. No one is required to work with or even interact with anyone they are uncomfortable with. However, anyone found engaging in harassment and/or hate speech, plagiarizing another creator's work within the project, or using generative AI will be removed from the project per the mod's discretion.

Requirements
Pieces are allowed to be SFW or NSFW.WritersWriters are required at minimum to write a 20k word fic. Chaptered works are allowed but they must be completed before the event period, even if you want to stagger posting of chapters afterward.ArtistsArtists are required at minimum to create two pieces that are fully lined/rendered but do not need a completed background. Artists are also allowed to discuss alternatives (i.e. spot art to be used throughout the fic, comics) with the mods and partner.
